It’s that time of year again, time to dust off your favourite wheels, polish up your chrome and bring them out of hibernation as summer is here!!!!

This year we are determined to make Ickledub bigger and better than ever and to raise as much money as we possibly can and here is why……….

Seraph’s Story

We have two sons; our sensitive, caring, reflective moon, Logan…. and our creative, cheery, cheeky, sunshine, Seraph. We need both in order to shine.

On January 25th, 2018, after a ‘lucky break’, Seraph was diagnosed with High Risk Neuroblastoma. He’d fallen and broken his wrist, and this fall eventually led us to get other parts of his body scanned; revealing a mass in his stomach.

We were transferred to Addenbrookes Hospital, and it was confirmed that the cancer had spread to his skeleton and bone marrow.

And yet, Seraph’s main concern was getting out into the hospital garden to play Power Rangers. It’s really hard, but we try to take our lead from him. Less worry, more play. He’s taken all the incredibly difficult treatment in his stride; from initial chemo, to High Dose Chemo with Stem Cell Transplant, 5 weeks of radiotherapy… when he was the first child at Addenbrookes to undergo an extended course for Neuroblastoma, and he did each day without sedation. He’s now going through Immunotherapy. During each treatment he fights to get back in that garden each step of the way. We owe it to him to fight too.

Seraph’s best chance of sustainable recovery is the Bivalent Vaccine, which they offer at MSK, New York, only. High Risk Neuroblastoma is relapse disease. And once children relapse, there is a 1 in 10 chance of survival. This vaccine is aimed at preventing relapse. Please help us make sure Seraph gets this.

That’s what we are raising money for folks so we will have street food, licenced bar, hot and cold beverages, live music, bouncy castles, pony rides, face painting and more to offer.
